"Better education means better justice. Better education means a higher standard for government to insure proper prosecution and incarceration. Better education means reduced recidivism, and in turn, less financial burden on society".

Welcome to Crime, Justice & America

Welcome to Crime, Justice & America…..the premier media group for the criminal justice system.

This is my first written blog, and let me tell you, as publisher, I am really excited about the phenomenal capabilities of the various high-technology venues (I’ll explain in a moment), which will enable the staff, readers, and even participants to join together in a social community unlike anything in the past. We are going to bring all of them together…in one place…in different formats….and you will love it! . So, let me introduce you to our new social community.

Think about it. Everyone is interested in the criminal justice system. The law enforcement/criminal justice genre is intriguing to nearly everyone on this planet. Take television for example. Forget about broadcast channels…think about cable/satellite and the hundreds of law enforcement/criminal justice programs routinely seen each week. Movies, series’, documentaries, etc……it has been the most recognized genre on television for decades….and it’s not changing anytime soon! (Psssst….here’s an international example. The first time I was in Europe many years ago, the most popular television show was the “Untouchables”…and I mean the black and white TV series which was twenty years old at that time! See what I mean?)

How about print? Newspapers carry the story which tells you the “who, what, where, when, and how”; Crime, Justice & America will add the “why”…..or at least ask questions about the “why”. Hey….wait a minute. Since you will be online with us…..maybe you can tell us your opinion about the “why” also? Popular magazines routinely feature articles related to the criminal justice system in some way. And don’t even get me started on books! All you have to do is peruse the shelves at any bookstore and our insatiable appetite for a glimpse into the criminal justice system is revealed.

And of course, there is the Internet….and all its associated glorious capabilities. Written Blogs, Video Blogs, Live Internet Talk, Live Internet Video, Podcasts and more will forever change the methods from which we receive information about the criminal justice system. And Crime, Justice & America will always be breaking new ground with those innovative formats. Bottom line, it’s just going to be easier for you to get information, communicate, interact, disseminate your knowledge, and participate than ever before!

Now, how about a little about me? Well, I know a little J about the criminal justice system as I have been peripherally involved for nearly 30 years. First as a repo man (yeah, I got your car in the middle of the night), private investigator (I hated those domestic cases), bounty hunter (a helluva life, and yes, I will talk about the old days (all over the world) at times, but we will cover the guys on the streets today as our main focus within this area….then as a bail bondsman (and have so many stories it will take years), and now as publisher of Crime, Justice & America magazine which is distributed inside the county jails across the country. To date (update 2015), we have delivered over 1.3 MILLION copies inside over 70 jails across 13 states. We receive hundreds of letters each distribution cycle, and will now start posting those letters on our site informing our social community of those relevant facts or situations. By the way, read our Mission Statement under the “About CJA” tab section.

Wally Farrell, a criminal defense attorney in Riverside County, now deceased, discussed the Death Penalty in California with Ray Hrdlicka
Posted on June 16th, 2015 by Admin istrator

Here is an entertaining and informative interview with Wally Farrell, a premier criminal defense attorney in Riverside County, now deceased, who discussed the Death Penalty in California with Crime, Justice & America Talk Show Host Ray Hrdlicka.  Is it really a deterrent? Why represent defendants charged with this type of crime?  What is “special circumstances” in the crime?  Life without parole vs. the Death Penalty.  Why does this type of case last so long?  Is it a choice between Justice or a Political and Financial cost?  Does it demean life? Or does it demean the death of victims?
