Bah. All those “crazy rules” arose because they were needed to solve a particular problem. Now, whether that problem still exists, or whether the crazy laws still address the problem, is something you send legislators to take care of.
Can you tell I don’t drink any more? Does it show?
As I noted on the CIDU post that linked to here, it would be nice if collections of silly laws also listed the date that the law was enacted. Many of the silliest items are probably well over 80 years old.
P.S. My CIDU comment has since been deleted (presumably in an effort to encourage conversations here at CJA, rather than at CIDU). However, if we’re going to be strict, shouldn’t this conversation be taking place at the Huffington Post?
