Shelley Lynn was hired by Keith Handley to work at his McDonald’s franchise in Arroyo Grande, California. He soon fired her — wrongly, she claims, and then pressured her into working at a legal brothel in Nevada. Some time during her stint as a prostitute, she married and then divorced Handley.
Now she’s suing McDonald’s (as well as Handley) on the grounds that McDonald’s shouldn’t have allowed Handley to buy a franchise in the first place. And that their low wages, inadequate grievance system and bad health insurance also contributed to her turning to prostitution. And also their lack of an affirmative action program to help women buy franchises.
She accuses McDonald’s of sex trafficking, negligent supervision and racketeering, blaming them for allowing Handley to run a prostitution ring out of the restaurant (though it’s not clear whether she has any evidence to prove such a ring existed).

Didn’t some other McD’s get accused of sex trafficking fairly recently? Some women was propositioning people as they came out of the drive thru for the Chicken McNuggets in exchange for a little McNookie or something? I think I read it on this site.
Maybe there *is* a connection?
Yep, Here it is:

Want fries with that shake?
(insert generic “In-N-Out” joke here)
Ms. Lynn does make many good points. McDonald’s is anti-union. the wages are unconsionably low. The benefits are almost non-existent for anyone below the level of manager.
In a broader sense, of course, almost any job is a form of prostitution. Non-union jobs are just lower-lever hooking than are union jobs.
