In Connecticut last week, David Caruso (not the CSI actor) was arrested after driving through a DUI checkpoint drinking a can of beer.
He was arrested for drinking while driving, operating an unregistered vehicle and driving while his license was suspended (for a drunk driving charge), but not for drunk driving: which means he had no excuse for his impaired judgment.

Some people just need killing. There are more reports of DRUG ADDICTS breaking into private homes, and frankly, the more of that kind that is cut down, the better for the rest of society.
Cruel maybe and cynical, but when That Sort Steals drugs from those who need them and said legal owner DIES because of the stealing, the thief is guilty of murder, and does deserve death.
“A Democrat is about to win an election.” Really? Last I heard, Obama and Romney were dead even, and Republicans were busy passing anti-voting laws to allow Romney to win Pennsylvania.
If you get past the headline, you run into this:
“an election where many suspect a Democrat, in this case President Obama, will win.”
It’s not about what people hope will happen, or even think will happen, it’s about what people fear will happen. Obama is a Democrat, so OF COURSE he wants to take everybody’s guns away! That’s why he’s spent so much of the last 3 years trying to take everyone’s guns away. Why, once people have no guns, there’ll be absolutely nobody to stand in the way of the complete socialism he wants to impose on the U.S.! Because that’s what ALL Democrats want…
Dead even in a non-weighted survey, sure. But the Presidential election is weighted. If you look at the electoral map, Obama has a much easier road to 273 electoral votes than Romney does.
I re-read Robert Anton Wilson’s TsOG: The Thing That Ate The Constitution (published in 2002) recently, and I found the following interesting quote [page 94]:

To protect ourselves against the ****in’ current government, each citizen needs at least 1700 tactical nuclear weapons, at least 100 earth-to-air missilies, 50,000 flame throwers, 10,000 grenade launchers, and at least a hundred times as many assault weapons as the NRA now owns, plus biological and chemical (viral) weaponry.”
